How many times have you been away on holiday and realised that you missed so many places because you didn't know the area or
didn't appreciate that just around the bend there was a great venue that you would have loved to have visited. One of the
services our guests have appreciated since we opened Rhyd Hir B&B is the opportunity to visit these lovely destinations without
distraction. Visitors from all over the world have taken advantage of our conducted tours.
We can accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children in our long wheelbase Shogun which allows passengers to see above
the hedges and travel in comfort without having to navigate their way along some of our small lanes and roads. You don't need
to spend time concentrating on the route; you can enjoy the scenery and let us do the driving. We make stops on the way to enable
you to take short or long walks and take photographs. Walking poles, binoculars and cameras are available for guests who didn't
bring their own.
We offer the following services to enable our guests to maximise the enjoyment of their stay with us:
- Half day to a variety of locations after a sumptuous breakfast at Rhyd Hir. Destinations include the famous Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, Chirk Castle, Powis Castle, Pontcysyllte and Chirk Aqueducts and many more (admission fees to National Trust and other properties are not included in the price.) Lunch at Rhyd Hir B&B is included in the price
- Full day allow you to make even more of the varied and interesting areas of Wales and the Border Counties. Following breakfast at Rhyd Hir, we take you on a pre-agreed trip which is broken by lunch in one of the fine old-fashioned pubs or tea shops (your preference) along the route. Each lunch venue is regularly checked out by us to ensure it is to the highest standard. Optional dinner at Rhyd Hir B&B on your return
In the event that the weather is not perfect for photographs, we have an extensive collection so you can take home as many
pictures of the trip as you wish. We even offer a CD burning facility so guests who wish to transfer their digital images to
CD can free up their camera memory during their stay with us.
